The Ultimate Appetizer: Olive Cheese Bread

For those of us who park ourselves in front of the relish tray at holiday gatherings? You will absolutely LOVE this! Cheesy & brine-y and the appetizer can not be beat.


  • loaf French Bread
  • About 25 Spanish Queen Pimento Stuffed Olives
  • ounce can of Black Olives drained
  • stalks Green Onions (scallions)
  • stick Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • cups Monterey Jack Cheese, Grated


  1. Roughly chop both black olives and pimiento-stuffed olives. Slice green onions into thin pieces.
  2. Combine butter, mayonnaise, cheese, olives and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir together until thoroughly combined. Spread mixture thickly onto French bread that has been sliced lengthwise.
  3. Bake at 325ºF for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and browning.
  4. The mixture can also be made in advance and refrigerated for up to two days.
